Upon arrival in Kathmandu, the explorers shall be greeted by the representatives of Best Adventure Travels who shall complete all the formalities and transfer to Hotel Moonlight. We take refreshment break and, in the evening, get ready for the welcome dinner where we shall discuss the 10 days Rara Lake Trek itineraries and enjoy the hearty Nepali meal.

Early morning, we take an hour-long domestic flight to Nepalganj and take the connecting flight to Jumla, which lies in the foothill of Sisne Himalaya, the gateway to Karnali trek. We explore the Jumla area and spend overnight.

The excitement of the trek begins from Jumla. We meet the porters who shall accompany us through the 10 days- Rara Lake trek. From Jumla we trek to Chere Chaur alongside the Jugad Khola. On the route to Chere Chaur we pass through several small villages, markets and Khalang Bazaar. We cross beautiful pine forest and stunning Tila Khola before final landing in Chere Chaur.

Taking the western trial, we ascend the Jaljala pass (3850m). We relatively cross the pass and move towards the Khalanga Bazaar and encounter few settlements before reaching our destination Chala Chaur which is 2980m (9777ft). The trek duration from Chere Chaur to Chala Chaur is nearly 5-6 hours.

Experiencing the natural water stream of Jaljala, we descend through several settlements, and the dense forests surrounding the Jaljala waterfall. Talking about the Sinja valley, it is the ancient and the oldest place of the Khas kingdom which ruled every one of the nearest destinations in 12^th to 14^th century. The descending period is nearly 5-6 hours as from 2980m we are sliding down to 2490m/ 8169 ft.

Alongside Hima river we leave behind Sinja valley. From the village we climb on the steep trail till Laha village and then climb up to Ghorosingha by crossing a suspension bridge. We surpassed Laha village. The walk is a steep climb through Ghatte Khola.

Rara is popular as the biggest lake located in Mugu district of Karnali. So, embracing the natural landscape of Karnali we climb up Chuchhema Danda, the finest viewpoint of from where we can view the fresh water, Rara Lake and the Himalayan out stretch. On the way we encounter Khatyar stream and Murma village. From there we walk towards Chapri village the headquarter of Rara National Park.

The serenity of Rara Lake is soothing and pleasant. After all those high-end treks it obvious to spend a day exploring the Rara Lake. The azure waters of the massive lake have been given name after late king Mahendra as Mahendra Tal. We boat across the Rara lake and thoroughly admire the picturesque setting of the lake. On the southern face of the Rara lake, we see Chuchemara Peak while on the northern side we see Ruma Kand and Malika Kand.

Early morning, we will again get the enthralling view of Rara and white peaks surrounding the lake. Despite being the shortest trekking route of Nepal, we believe the journey has quenched the trekking thirst of our explorers, with a face of satisfaction we walk down to Talcha airport and fly to Nepalgunj and then to Kathmandu. In the evening a lavish farewell dinner is organized where we shall share the moment spend in Rara trekking trip.
