Manaslu (8163m), the eight highest mountain offers an incredible trekking experience taking the trekkers to the settlement of the mixed inhabitants, biological diversity, Larkya La Pass and rich Tibetan culture. The 17 days Manaslu Circuit Trek starts from Barpak, a small village occupied by the Brahamins, Chhetri, Ghales, Gurungs and more. Taking the narrow pathways, we enter the Manaslu Conservation Area and cross the glacial rivers, waterfalls, rivers and pine forests. The Manaslu circuit trek ends in a short trek to Dharapani in Marshyangdi valley. As we shall be spending a day in Kathmandu, we utilize the day by roaming around the spiritual and historical places inside the valley. We begin with the nearest destination from our hotel i.e. Ason Bazar. The most energetic trading hub forever filled with passionate buyers and sellers. The place has been renowned as a trading center since the 16th century of the Malla period, and till date it holds the same charm and energy. Near Ason is Indrachowk, the narrow lanes and center point for chariot procession. Taking the same lane, we visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, the Malla built palace holding monuments of the Shah dynasty. The stone paved courts and fine arts makes the place a focal point for the art lovers. Close to it is the Kumari Gar, the residence of a living goddess. From there we return to the hotel and take the training for the Manaslu circuit trek where we shall be made aware of the altitudes, tools needed during mountaineering and the trekking routes.

Leaving Kathmandu valley behind we move ahead to Gorkha district, that occupies a historical achievement and unification of Nepal. We enjoy the delightful views of the mountains, flowy rivers, and the quiet settlements before reaching Barpak.
Barpak village is occupied by the Ghales, Brahamins, Pariyars, and other minor ethnic groups. It is also the trade area of the Gorkha district before it was damaged by the 2015 April earthquake. The place was completely destroyed, but now it has been restored, hence the village is filled with lodges and hotels.

We leave behind Barpak and head to Laprak, a small Gurung settlement. We will be taking a trekking trail uphill through the rhododendron forests enjoying the splendid view of Ganesh Himal, Buddha Himal and ascend to Bhoshu Kang (2800m). On the route to Laprak we pass by Gupsi Danda and finally descend to Laprak village which is at an elevation of 2100m (6890ft). The village offers an extensive outstretched view of the stunning Manaslu mountain

From Larpak we descend downwards to Sing La village. The village offers a best version of the Himalayan views making the trekkers enjoy the serenity of the village and surrounding landscape. Enjoying the terrains, fields and forests we walk towards a quietly settled village in Khorla Besi, which is just nearby Budhi Gandaki river.

Few more ascends and descends we come across a hot spring ‘Tatopani’. From there we take a steady climb to a ridge and cross the suspension bridge over Budhi Gandaki to reach the Dobhan. Again, we cross the suspension bridge over Dobhan Khola and take a rugged route to Duman. We again take a few steps and cross the suspension bridge over Yaru Khola. We shall enter the Manaslu Conservation Area, the home of rarest flora and fauna. The uphill and downhill process continues where we shall cross the west bank of Buddhi Gandaki and then finally reach Jagat, a flat settlement of Gurung community.

Enjoying the dramatic version of Mt.Sringeri we take a scenic trail by climbing a rocky ridge to Salleri from where we shall descend to Seti Bas. The path widens up till Ghatta Khola and continues upstream till we join the longest suspension bridge. We climb to Phillim, a Gurung habitat and move on by taking a north trial. We walk through the millet fields, to Ekle Bhatti and enter a sloppy grassy area to cross the Buddhi Gandaki river. We continue hiking up, pass through Bamboo forests and to the Deng Khola before reaching the village of Deng.

Situated at a ridge, the village of Prok lies at an elevation of 2397m (7864 ft). The place is pretty much not known to the travelers hence the area is captivated by Bhotias, an indigenous community influenced by the Tibetan lifestyle. The village is pretty much silent and has a few tea houses. Upon reaching we shall interact with the local people and understand the area their community and their culture.

Walking through the route covered by the juniper, pine, and other rare vegetation we make our way to Ghap. We further cross two bridges and climb Namrung. From their we take up the path to Barcham leading us to the ancient village Lihi and Sho. We walk to the isolated route enjoying the solitudes and the spell biding beauty of white snow-capped peaks till we reach Lho (3380m/10433 ft). The Lho village offers a spectacular view of Manaslu, Dwijen, Saula and Himalchuli himal.

Lho is a good viewpoint for the early sunrise in the expanded range of white mountains. We steadily climb and reach Lhi village. Crossing the barely terraces, we gradually climb downwards crossing the side views of Ganesh Himal and Simnang Himal. We also enjoy the extraordinary view and explore the Ribung Gompa. As we walk, we get to savor the close-up view of Manaslu and other Himalayan peaks till we reach Sama Gaon. The valley open ups giving a pleasant view of the small village filled with thatched roof and people wearing their traditional dress chubas. On reaching the village we shall also explore the oldest monasteries in the Nubri valley.

As the elevation goes up, we face difficulty in breathing, therefore a day is kept aside for the trekkers to adjust the temperature and altitude. However, on this day, insight of completely taking the day off we shall explore the nearby areas such as Nubri valley, Punggen Monastery which is close to the Manaslu mountain. Trekkers who are willing to take up the challenge can trek up to Manaslu base camp which takes a total duration of 8 hours. If not, we can still enjoy the pleasant close view of Mt. Manaslu from Punggen monastery and explore the beautiful settlements of the Sama Gaon.

We take the path to Khermo Kharka for Samdo from Sama Gaon. We descend to Budhi Gandaki river and pass by the leads to Manaslu Base Camp. However, we pass Manaslu glacier and hike through the juniper forests and reach Larkya trial which cross mani walls. We hike upward to the steep path in between the two flowing rivers. From distant we see a white kani, which we pass to reach Samdo village which has a pleasant view of Simrang, Hiunchuli, Ngadi, Larkya Peak, and Cheo.

Today we shall be taking the route to Dharamsala through Larkya La base camp. The walk offers a great view of the Manaslu circuit where we shall view the massive walls of the Himalayan peaks rising above. From the passes we see the outstanding view of Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, Annapurna II and Kangguru. The landscape is sure to keep us wanting more of the amazing trip, but with a generous experience we move on to Dharamsala and explore the area for the rest of the remaining hours or take a rest in the teahouse.

We start our day early to reach Larkya La valley and to Bimthang. We take a short climp and enjoy the dramatic view of Larkya glacier, Cho Danda and Larkya peak. The walk is energetic at a same time thrilling as we take further steps to moraine and glacier. From Larkya La we get a soothing glimpse of Cheo Himal, Himlung Himal, Kangaru, Gyaji Himal and Annapurna II. While descending we wear crampoons as few of the lane may be icy and move on to Bimathang. The hike on this day is lengthy, however, the looming view of Mt. Manaslu from Bimthang just gives a mesmerizing experience.

The route weaves down lane towards the meadows and forests. We further walk to Hampuk and to Dudh Khola. We walk by the settlement of Gho and Karche and to the west of Dudh Khola before arriving to Tilije village, a popular Gurung settlement known for its apple brandy.

From Tilije we trek to Dharapani which lies in the Marsyangdi valley. The settlement is charming filled with settlements, and mountains covered with pine trees. The place has plenty of lodges and tea house, as this is stopping point of the trekkers enjoying their Annapurna circuit trek. From Dharapani we drive to Kathmandu mesmerizing the days we have spent enjoying the beautiful landscapes in Manaslu region. On reaching hotel, we take refreshment, while the team of Best Adventure Travels set a lavish Nepali menu as a farewell dinner for the trekkers who gained victory in taking up the 17 days Manaslu Circuit Trek.

The 17 days Manaslu Circuit Trek comes to an end. On this day, we provide private shuttles to the trekkers till Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) before three hours of their flight schedule.
Best Adventure Travels use 4 star Hotel Moonlight in Kathmandu. We use the best available tea houses while we are on a trek in the mountains. Our packages are on a twin sharing basis. Single supplement will be available in Kathmandu and partially in mountains on request and will cost an additional USD 350.
We can enjoy Nepalese food as well Tibetan, Continental, Italian, Indian, during this Manaslu Circuit Trek. We will have breakfast dinners in the lodges from their menu and lunch will be provided in the tea houses while walk every day. All three meals will be served on trek and exclusive breakfast will be provided in cities like in Kathmandu.
