The 1-day Chandragiri Hiking trip makes people absorb the mighty Himalayas from the rims of Kathmandu valley. Residing on the southern west of Kathmandu, Chandragiri Hill lies just 7km away from the Kathmandu valley. The hill is 2250 m high and provides panoramic view of the whole Kathmandu valley and the surrounding white-mountains including Mt.Api, Makalu, Saipal, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Gaurishankar, Dorje Lakpa and more . The walk begins from the cable car area towards the remote countryside. The trail consists of tuff, soft, uneven pathways, which can smoothly & confidently cross. The up-hill journey starts giving us the magnificent experience of nature. We get to see varieties of birds including Kingfisher, Myna, Grey Wagtail, Sparrow, Egret, Grey Dove, and more.
From the smell of wet mud, to the chirpy bird sound, the walk tends to be more memorable and pleasant till we reach the re-created Bhaleshwor Mahadev temple, on the top of Chandragiri mountain. On our way back we shall take an enjoyable ride through cable car. The floating experience above the green forests, surrounded by the clouds, is sure to make the travelers want more for it.
