Best of Nepal Tour – 9 days

Upon arrival, the representative of Best Adventure Travels shall welcome the explorer, and transfer everyone to hotel Moonlight. On reaching one can either take rests or take a short walk inside Thamel.

In the evening, a dinner program is planned for the visitors, where we shall discuss the next day events, introduce the team leaders and members, and enjoy the cultural program with fine Nepali dining.

We begin the sightseeing from Kathmandu. Our first destination will be Kathmandu Durbar Square which demonstrates the Nepalese architecture at its best. The arts which we observe in Basantapur area is of typical Malla period from the 12^th to 18th century.

The Swayambunath stupa is famous amongst the foreigners as the Monkey Temple, while for the cultural explorer the Chaitya holds a sound cultural and spiritual purpose. Baudhanath is no less, known as the largest Stupa in the South Asian region, it grasps both spiritual and religious essence. Pashupatinath temple is the sacred place of the Hindu pilgrimage all over the world. Adjacent to the main temple of Lord Shiva is the flowing Bagmati river, Guheswari temple and other scattered temples that are equally worshiped by the followers.

Our mountain flight starts from the early morning at 6:00 am from the domestic airport. We take flights to get the above the clouds experience and the mountain peaks which too are covered with the white flowy clouds. The mountain flights last for about half an hour, but from the flight, you get an unforgettable experience that lasts for eternity.

After the mountain flight, we will be guided towards Patan, the land of fine arts. The city expresses the local lifestyle preserved for centuries. While the city is in the square form, we admire the man-made pagoda-shaped temples, the hand made architectures on the rooftops, windows, and doors of the Durbar square.  Inside Patan, we will visit the museum, Krishna Mandir, and local communities surrounding the square.

From there we migrate to another Newari civilization, Bhaktapur. The city is away from the hustling life, and practices the same pathway left behind by the Malla Kings. The place is covered by fine pottery, crafts, museum, gallery, wooden architectures (55-windows palace), and Bhaktapur Durbar Square, which was once a residence of the rulers.

The high grasslands, the dense jungle, the natural living, Chitwan is the destination where adventure collides with nature. From Kathmandu, we drive to Chitwan, which exists at the foothill of Churia range and Chitwan National Park (UNESCO listed heritage). Upon reaching we shall take a few minutes off for refreshment and briefing, and then we march for jungle walk inside the national park. We shall be accompanied by the guide who shall take us around the forest for birdwatching and exploring flora and fauna. In the evening, we will participate in the tribal function of Tharu community.

Chitwan safari makes the whole of the Nepal Tour experience exciting and thrilling one. Early morning, we shall mount in the back of the elephant and go through the dense portion of Chitwan National Park. The jungle tour makes us witness the unseen portion of nature in its raw form. After the safari, we enjoy elephant baths and visit their stables. In the afternoon we head for Jeep Safari through the jungles or take canoeing ride in the smooth flowing Rapti river. During the safari, we shall notice the herds of deer, one-horned rhino, wild boar, black monkeys, jungle birds, or migrated birds. If lucky we may even notice Royal Bengal Tiger. On canoeing in the Rapti river, we may take a closer look at the crocodile, and their breeds. We will also go for a foot walk exploring the inside jungle world, elephant stables, museum, and their breeding center.

We drive to the City of Lakes. The journey is fun-filled as we shall be encountering nature in its purest form. The total hours taken from Chitwan to Pokhara is 4 hours. We bid farewell to Chitwan and join the northern skyline to Pokhara. While entering we see an amazing view of the mountain range including the Dhaulagiri range, Macchapuchre, Manaslu, and other associated peaks. On reaching we visit Peace Stupa, and enjoy the ambiance, the spectacular sunset views and a close view of the white ranges. In the evening one can enjoy the vibrancy of lakeside.

We continue to take a tour of the highlighted landmarks of Pokhara. We explore the Davis fall, the narrow water flowing in the deepest canal with no end. Next to the fall, is the Gupteshwor Mahadev, a house of a shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. The cave of Gupteshwor contains two main chambers which were discovered in the 16^th century. The experience of Mahadev cave keeps the traveler wandering as we can hear the noise of the Seti River.

We shall also go for boating at Phewa Lake, the largest lake of Pokhara and visit the Tal Barahi temple located in the center of the lake. We visit the International Mountain Museum (IMM) and learn about the achievements, chronicles, the mountaineering activities. Our next destination would be the Tibetan refugee camp where we shall understand the lifestyle of the refugees and their popular handicrafts.

In the evening, before sunset, we move uphill towards Sarangkot. The high hill which overlooks the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges. It’s a popular destination for catching an amazing view of Pokhara city, Lakeside and Phewa lake. We shall catch the amazing view of the setting sun behind the Annapurna ranges and return back.

After exploring the whole of Pokhara and its diversified nature, returning back to Kathmandu brings flashbacks of every time we have spent in Pokhara. On our return journey, we travel through the edges of the Trishuli river, the hilly routes of Naubise and reach Kathmandu. The time taken from Kathmandu to Pokhara is approximately 5-6 hours, but as we prefer to take a scenic appearance of the high lands, and capture the green vistas, we shall travel in no rush. In the evening, a farewell dinner is organized, for the successful completion of Best of Nepal Tour- 9days.

The Best of Nepal Tour- 9 days comes to an end. A representative from Best Adventure Travels shall take the troupe to the airport before three hours of the flight schedule.
