Annapurna Panorama-9 days is an easy walk trek planned through the meadows, settlements and rhododendron forests till Poon Hill (3210m) for the excellent nether of the Annapurna and neighboring Himalayan range. The flowy golden rice terrace, the natural vibrancy of the green mountains, forests makes this a photographer paradise.
The trip is certain to unfold the dramatic panoramic profiles of some of the beautiful Himalayas i.e. Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m), Mt. Machhapuchre (6993m), Mt. Manaslu (8157m), Annapurna I (8091m) and the cultural settlements in Ghandruk village.
The trek begins from a flight to Pokhara. From there we drive to Hile and trek to Ulleri. The whole of the Annapurna Poon Hill enthralling journey starts to get deeper, when we trek to Gandruk village, the beautiful Gurung village and take privilege of their ethnic hospitality, and cultural magnificence. Trekking through the shimmering forest covered with spring flowers, passing through natural waterfall, and local community we reach Poon Hill where we get to experience the captivating experience of the glistering Dhaulagiri and Annapurna range.

Taking the 25 minutes flight from Kathmandu, we glide to Pokhara, the city of Lakes. On landing, we are rewarded with a magnificent glaze of the Annapurna range. Through the busy streets of Pokhara, we drive to Hile, a popular starting point for the Makalu and an ending point for the Lukla trekkers. Apart from the trekking gateway, the place is filled with bustling bazaars and admirable mountain viewpoints.
From Hile, trek to Ulleri is a long ascend and steep. Before that, we take a short mount to Tikedhunga and cross few suspension bridges over Barundi & Modi Khola. The travel takes us to the terrace fields, mud made houses, and local eateries. However, one must be prepared to walk thousands of steps to reach Ulleri, a Magar village, residing at 2050m (6725ft). The area gives a complete naturalist vibe, after encountering the blooming rhododendron, and Annapurna range.

We leave behind Ulleri and go for the Ghorepani destination. We pass through the oak forests and get to Banthanti (2,250m), a small settlement of the Gurung community, Nangethanti (2,460m).
The trek from Nangethanti to Ghorepani is just two-hours. The trail also presents views of Annapurna South (7219m), Hiunchuli (6441m) and Machhapuchre (6993m). As we hike up, the forests get denser while the climate gets humid. Ghorepani village lies inside the Annapurna Conservation Area (ACA) at 2,750m/9,020ft altitude.
The place is a halting point for most of the trekkers, and hence, the place is occupied by the guest houses, cafes, and shops. It is one of the most welcoming tourist destinations, with a manifest see-through of Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri mountains and Annapurna.

Poon Hill lies in the border of Myagdi and Kaski district, at an elevation of 3210m (10,530 ft). The hill station magnifies the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri range such as Dhampus peak (6012m), Hinchuli(6441m), Annapurna South (7,219m), Annapurna III, Machhapuchre (6993m), Dhaulagiri (8167m), Nilgiri (7061m).
To capture the early dawn over the Annapurna & Dhaulagiri ranges, we head for a steep trail to Poon Hill (3210m/10,529ft). Spending an hour or two, closer to the mountains we move back to Tadapani.
Tadapani is the hidden region of the Annapurna vista, the pavement from Ghorepani undergoes through the towering pines, waterfalls, white-capped rivers, rhododendron valley and reach Ban Thanti. During the spring season, we get to see the 15 different shades of Rhododendron forests before reaching Tadapani (2700m/8860 ft).

Ghandruk is recognized as a Gurung settlement (1940m/6360ft), on the northside of Pokhara. From Tadapani, the trek nearly takes 3-4 hours, it starts from the up-hill section of Deurali pass, which continues through the pastures, and paddy fields.
On reaching the sloppy settlement of Ghandruk, we get to enrich the affluent culture and traditions of Gurung inhabitant. Besides the stunning adjoining of Fishtail, Annapurna, Nilgiri, Tilicho mountains, the place attracts the trekkers through warm serenity i.e. every explorer can take the experience of the Gurung attire and ornaments, their local food, horse riding and visit the oldest Gurung museum reflecting the lifestyles and livelihood.

The steep trail from Ghandruk takes us to Modi Khola. Usually, Landruk village (1565m/5133ft) is reserved as an entry point to the Annapurna Conservation area and base camp. The place is not much jammed with trekkers, it’s a quiet place, bright during the spring season, surrounded by mountains. The region is widespread for its Honey Hunting Festival, where the harvesters, hunt honey from the mountain cliffs.

Dhampus is known to be a vantage point to explore the interesting mountainous peak of Tukuche (6920m), and Dhaulagiri (8167m). Populated by the Gurung ethnic group, the village excellently highlights the traditional. Apart from that, Dhampus offers an excellent reflection of Machhapuchre Himal in one of its lakes.
To keep the trekkers captivated, a view tower is present, from where we can visualize the extends of bewitching peak of Annapurna II, Annapurna IV, Annapurna (south), Hinchuli and Machhapuchre. We curve out from the picturesque landscape and drive to Pokhara, where the travelers can roam around the city and enjoy the nightlife of Pokhara.

After observing the vigilant Himalayas and the serenity of lakes, we fly back to Kathmandu, which is approximately 25 minutes. From airport explorers are escorted to hotel rooms, certain hours are allocated for refreshment.
Reviving the trip memory, we walk towards the ceremonial square, in Asan. Mostly known for its historical location and local markets, the area serves as an architectural site.
Further, we move on to the intersection of Asan, Maru, Kathmandu Durbar Square i.e. Indrachok, which named after Hindu Lord Indra. The place operates as a ceremonial venue and major Newari festival pageants including chariot procession.
Our next destination is Basantapur/ Kathmandu Durbar Square, the old Royal palace, of Kantipur valley (Kathmandu). This area is a UNESCO listed World Heritage Sites and is surrounded by several ancient courtyards, and temples.
In the evening, a small feast “Fare well Dinner” is planned as an honored gesture from Best Adventure Travels.

The day, where the Best Adventure Travels bid farewell to all its trekkers who joined us in the 9 days Annapurna Panorama Trek. A shuttle service is provided as per the departure timing.
Best Adventure Travels use Hotel Moonlight in Kathmandu and Tika resort in Pokhara. We use the best available tea houses while we are on a trek in the mountains. Our packages are on a twin sharing basis. Single supplement will be available in cities (Kathmandu, Pokhara) and partially in the mountain on request and will cost an additional USD 350.
We can enjoy Nepalese food as well Tibetan, Continental, Italian, Indian, during this Annapurna Panorama Trek. We will have breakfast dinners in the lodges from their menu and lunch will be provided in the tea houses while walk every day. All three meals will be served on trek and breakfast will be provided in cities like in Kathmandu and Pokhara.
